The Wildcats traveled to Shouldice Park in Calgary on Sunday for their season opener and walked away with a 36-25 victory over the Calgary Colts. The Wildcats put up 222 passing yards and 162 rushing yards in the game. Devin Desormeau was 11 for 18 with 222 passing yards and he threw for 3 touchdowns. Nathan Zacharias was the leader on the ground with 118 rushing yards on 19 carries. The Wildcats spread the ball around through the air to seven different receivers, with Tanner Holt (61 yards) and Lucas Howe (60 yards) leading the way in reception yardage.

The Wildcats next game is at home at Emerald Hills Regional Park (Saturday, August 28 at 7:00 pm) when they take on the Edmonton Huskies. Tickets for this game can be purchased at the gate for $15 (Adults-18+). Season passes for adults are $50 and can also be purchased at the gate. All students and youth 17 and under are admitted for free to all Wildcats home games.
