Announcement: Staffing Change for 2019 Season
The Edmonton Wildcat Football Club would like to announce that General Manager Meghann Tanner will be stepping away from the club at the end of this season.
Meghann’s significant service to our club began seven years ago as a member of the Board of Directors. She very quickly established the most successful In The Community Program in the country which culminated in the Wildcats winning its first ever Past Commissioner’s Awards in back to back years, given to a player who exemplifies community service in he entire Canadian Junior Football League.
Meghann was also a major contributor to our Eskimos 50/50 program, game day preparations, alumni events, and team communications among many other initiatives of the club.
In 2016, Meghann moved from the Board to the position of Operations Manager and then in 2017 to General Manager.
Meghann has always played a significant role in the players lives, organizing travel, securing 50/50 and In the Community volunteers, and just being there to answer questions about all things about being a Wildcat.
Meghann has also volunteered at the Prairie Football Conference and Canadian Junior Football League levels and her contribution to those organizations will also be greatly missed.
She will continue to support the club with the Eskimos 50/50 going forward.
Meghann will always have a place with the Edmonton Wildcats should that road lead her back at some point in the future.
Congratulations on your decision Meghann, and remember…once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat!!!
The search for a General Manager will begin soon, check back to our website for details.
