OFFENSE-JORDAN SAMOIL- EDMONTON WILDCATS
The rookie tailback and product of Bev Facey continued his incredible 2012 season in the Wildcats 48-34 shootout win over their Clarke Park co-tenants Edmonton Huskies on September 21. Samoil set new PFC & CJFL standards with a 365-yard, 4-touchdown effort as he broke former Edmonton Wildcat Tristan Jones PFC record of 344 rushing yards set in a 2006 game and bested the previous CJFL single game best of 355 yards set by Craig Carter of the Windsor AKO Fratmen in 1999. Samoil leads the PFC in rushing with 1279 yards.
This is the second time in the 2012 season that Samoil has staked a claim to the Russell Athletic CJFL Offensive Player of the Week Award as he won it in Week 2 of the season following a 309-yard performance against the Edmonton Huskies.
